Mine’s workshops align closely with his artistic practice, exploring shifting perspectives between the personal and the collective, and between performative and participatory forms of engagement. Rather than following
a fixed structure or predetermined outcome, each session develops through the group's dynamics and the encounters that emerge within it.

ClayPlay Workshop at AGEUK Croydon, Brigstock Community Hub, 2024

Culture Access Workshop at Woolwich Library, 2024
Participants are invited to question familiar patterns of ownership, competition, and individual authorship, while also moving beyond the limitations that technical skill can sometimes impose.
Working through drawing, clay, sculpture, painting, or performance-based exercises, the sessions focus
on exchange and collaboration. Participants are encouraged to engage their creativity and imagination as
tools for navigating the often unfamiliar or slightly unsettling nature of the workshop environment.

Anyone curious about experimenting with creativity and social practice
-

Croydon College Mapping Ideology Workshop, 2025

Norwood JunkAction and Palace for Life, 2024
Norman Mine has developed over many years through collaborative work with people from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and generations. The space regularly hosts projects that bring together artists, community groups, schools, and local organisations, creating opportunities for shared making, dialogue, and creative exchange.
Projects have involved organisations such as the NHS, Age UK, Mencap, Croydon Museum, Artangel, schools, libraries, and community groups across London. As a neurodivergent member of Culture Access’s steering group, Norman brings a strong commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and intergenerational participation.
Projects such as Norwood JunkAction follow a similar ethos, creating situations where members of the community actively shape and run the project themselves. Through shared making, conversation, and playful activities, these initiatives encourage participation from people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
