"BETTER A FASCIST THAN A FAGGOT"
UK / Italy | 2024 | 14'32" | Italian with English subtitles
An autobiographical moving-image work that merges performance and cinema to examine the seduction of power and the politics of belonging.
The film follows Dino Desica, a queer teenager from Naples who joins a neo-fascist group in an attempt to escape discrimination linked to regional origin and sexual identity. Set within Santiago Calatrava's unfinished "Vela" stadium in Rome, the work unfolds within a landscape marked by failed ambition, political collapse, and ideological inheritance.
